I have windows 7 and I am trying but it says’ invalid” what am i doing wrong..When I click on google chrome properties..and go on shortcut target..it has the following code :

then I add windows 7 code with space like this :

what am I doing wrong?
Hello Nuzhat, what error is it showing ? If you have found it difficult to add the codes, and you can alternatively change the compatibility mode of the shortcut to Windows NT ! Hope you got it !

i had followed the way u teach.but when i reopen my facebook,it still shows as timeline view.i using this code:

You are supposed to put the codes without any quotation ! Seems like you are using Windows XP, that’s why, your ultimate code must look like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe –user-agent=”Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1)
And remember that there must be a little gap of one space between the location URL and the code ! Hope you got it !

Wow, this was such a waste of time, no matter the many combinations I entered the target not found would always result.
Maybe this only works on computers in India??
May be your process is wrong, may be you haven’t read the post carefully ! All of the commentators have disabled their Timeline profile with this method itself, it’s working fine ! But, if you were not able to fix it up with this method, then you may change the compatibility mode of the shortcut to Windows NT since Timeline doesn’t support the old operating systems !

This should work buddy ! If you are still getting the same problem, then you can directly change the compatibility mode of the shortcut to Windows NT !
Since it’s just a temporary solution, your timeline profile will be shown to your friends but only you will not be able to see it since you are using the codes. In case, the person who is viewing your timeline is also using the same code, then he/she will also not be able to see your timeline profile !
By the way, I have now also found a new solution to disable it up instantly, I will write a post about it shortly !
